Seven sports records were broken at Devizes School during the sports day at the end of term.
During the day the school’s new radio station, supported by Devizes Hospital and Community Radio, was officially opened by Jez, Roo and Greener from Heart FM.
Sue Marshall, director of specialism at the school, said: “It was wonderful to see both the school’s specialist subjects, PE and ICT, come together to ensure all students enjoyed and achieved on the day.”
The school records broken on the day were Year 10 boys’ 1500m - Tony Hogan, Year 10 boys’ 80m hurdles - Joshua Thompson, Year 8 girls’ shot - Emily Hutchinson, Year 10 girls’ javelin - Charlotte Williams, Year 9 girls’ discus, Year 9 girls’ javelin and Year 9 girls’ 75m hurdles - all Olivia Wood.
