Grants of over £1,300 for departments at Savernake Hospital have been agreed by the League of Friends .
The league committee decided on Monday to donate £914 worth of books and equipment to the physiotherapy department and nearly £400 to the Cotswold House unit for people with eating disorders.
Committe member Janet Louth said: “The money to the physiotherapy department includes £340 to cover the purchase of books, some for reference and some to lend to patients.
“The money will also cover equipment and training for equipment to treat hand injuries, so that patients don’t have to go all the way to Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
“We are making £398 available to Cotswold House, which is run by the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health Trust, for silk screen printing equipment, which is very good therapy for patients.”
