A local drugs and alcohol support charity has relaunched under a new name.
Now known as New Highway, the Bath Area Drugs Advisory Service felt it was time for a change after 24 years of serving the community.
“We adopted a new name to symbolise and energise our approach into the future. We felt it was time to refresh our vigour, restate our mission and become even more passionate,” said New Highway chief executive Kevin McAlpine.
Founded in 1986, the New Highway charity now supports more than 2,000 people, with offices in Trowbridge, Chippenham and Westbury. Additionally the charity now offers travel friendly satellite facilities, including a mobile needle exchange in Devizes, in order to reach more rural areas.
