Supporters of the Wadworth Brewery shire horses who go to see them parade through Poulshot at the start of their annual holiday will be viewing the stars of this year’s New Forest Show.

Max and Monty’s haul started with a first in the pairs turnout class. Max went on to be second in the single turnout and Monty became the show in hand champion.

The pair clinched the ultimate accolade of overall show champion in the turnout section.

Max and Monty will be in Poulshot with the other Wadworth horses, Prince and Percy, tomorrow for the start of their annual two week holiday.

The horses can be seen at the Raven Inn at noon after which they will be led to a field and set free. The event attracts crowds of fans.
