A fete organised by the elderly residents of Lawrence Acre sheltered homes in Marlborough raised more than £650.
The money will be shared between Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Canons House respite home for children in Devizes, with some going back to Lawrence Acre.
The Mayor of Marlborough Andrew Ross opened the fete held in the residents’ lounge on July 24.
It was run by the residents with the help of Sarsen Housing Association scheme managers Helen Bryant and Scott Simmons.
Activities ranged from stalls to a grand raffle.
“It was well attended and the mayor stayed for a considerable time chatting to the people,” said Ms Bryant.
