A man who was involved in the A350 accident yesterday has died of his injuries.
He has been named as Gareth Jones from Calne. He was the driver of the transit van. His passenger was transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and is in a critical condition.
Mr Jones, from Calne, was driving northbound along the carriageway at around 7am yesterday when he collided with a Hills waste recycling lorry which was pulling out from a layby to turn back on itself in order to make a collection on the opposite side of the road. The Ford Transit van was then struck by a Renault Megane. Police have today confirmed that 26-year-old Mr Jones died at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
