Pupils at Redland School, in Chippenham, dazzled parents and teachers with the musical Cinderella Rockafella last week.

The Year 5 and 6 classes put on three shows for parents.

Headteacher Hilary Walton said: “It was amazing – the songs were pitch perfect and sung magnificently and the children were so confident.

“They smiled all the way through and the parents were so complimentary.

“It was the icing on the cake to end a fantastic year.”

The school has now been placed on the Ofsted interim assessment list, meaning inspections will now take place every five years instead of three.

Mrs Walton said: “We are over the moon about this and we are on a real high.

“This is all due to the hard work of all the staff and pupils at the school.

“As well as this, we have been awarded the ICT Mark by Becta.”
