A classical music garden party held by Malmesbury’s St Aldhelm Lodge had some unusual visitors.
The Red Arrows flying team made a fly-past during the party at Halfway Bush Farm near Sherston which raised £2,000 for Diabetes UK.
English opera singers Tim Pitman and Rebecca Robinson give recitals at the evening which was attended by 300 people.
Visitors also enjoyed cream teas while taking in an array of classic cars, motor bikes and vintage tractors which were on display.
For the more energetic English skittles and French boules were also on offer.
The £2,000 brings the total raised for the charity this year by the lodge to £5,000.
The Rev Richard Maslen, Worshipful Master of St Aldhelm Lodge, said: “Everything went well.
“It was a really classic day, down to a fortuitous but not entirely unexpected fly-past by the Red Arrows.
“I am most grateful to all who came, and especially to Colin and Sue Lewis for letting us use their farm and all the hard working volunteers who helped out.”
