Youngsters from a Corsham school have sent out an important message about the environment through poems they wrote.
The 27 pupils from St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School were inspired by a talk by environment group Transition Community Corsham, which aims to make the town more environmentally friendly.
Teacher Charlotte Day said: “We are trying to become a more eco-friendly school. We already compost our fruit and vegetables and we have eco mentors. We also have a school council that is developing our eco awareness.”
Year four pupil Oliver Taylor had his work transformed into a drama which was by the school. Local authors Sarah Singleton and Nikki Kenna called at the school to see the project.
