A cup of tea and a slice of home-made cake will make Sunday afternoon visits to Wiltshire Heritage Museum even more of a treat than they are at the moment.
The museum is introducing the afternoon teas on Sundays throughout August, with visitors being able to buy a cream tea or a slice of cake, all made by museum volunteers.
Director David Dawson said: “We are often asked by visitors if we have a cafe, so I am delighted that volunteers have offered to run this service for us and, if successful, we would anticipate doing this more regularly.”
Entry is free on Sundays and the museum is open from noon to 4pm. As well as the museum’s famed neolithic, Bronze Age, Roman and medieval collections, there is currently an exhibition on show, White Horses and Chalk Figures, exploring the Wiltshire landmarks.
