Runner Steph Thomas has presented a cheque for £2,000 to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal, which she raised from successfully taking part the London Marathon.
Mrs Thomas decided to raise money for the appeal because, as a paramedic based in Malmesbury, she sees first hand how vital the service is.
With the support of her parents and others in the community Mrs Thomas ran her third London Marathon in two hours and 18 minutes.
Sherston Post Office, where her mother Anthea Young works, raised £200 from its collection tin while local residents also made significant individual donations.
Mrs Thomas said the described the atmosphere of the race as amazing. She said: “There was so much encouragement from the crowd. It made me feel proud to be British.”
