Spiders, snakes and frogs were guests at the Humpty Dumpty Nursery in Calne last week.
The visit by Zoo Lab was organised as part of a week of different activities at the nursery, which also involved a cookery day and a visit from Wiltshire Scrapstore.
Deputy manager of the nursery, at John Bentley School, Louise Barlow said: “It was a brilliant day and all the children absolutely loved having the creatures in.
“The woman was showing them a giant snail and said the shell is his home, then one little boy came out with ‘but there’s no TV in there’.”
One of the highlights was a spider called Emma – who shared its name with one of the nursery assistants.
“The children loved that,” said Miss Barlow. “They all told their parents about it.”
