Parents in Calne are celebrating after the Water Babies swimming club won a national award for the third year running.
Claire Southworth and Steve Partridge run a branch of the organisation, which teaches water confidence to babies from birth, at the St Mary’s sports centre on Fridays, and were delighted that the company was recognised in the What’s On 2010 awards as offering the best child related activity nationally.
“We’re just overwhelmed by the amazing response of all our clients in voting for us,” Mrs Southworth said.
“To have won this national award again totally reflects on the dedication of the whole Water Babies team.
“As parents ourselves, we appreciate that this is one of the most magical times in people’s lives.
“We are grateful to all our fantastic clients for taking the time to nominate and vote for us.”
Mrs Southworth and Mr Partridge have been running Water Babies classes in Wiltshire since 2006 and, together with a team of eight instructors, teach more than 830 babies and children a week.
