Corsham residents and businesses rallied together this week to impress South West in Bloom judges with their horticultural efforts.
The three judges visited on Monday and were treated to a lunch made up of local produce following an hour-long tour of the town centre, which took in highlights such as the open gardens of Corsham Court, designed by Capability Brown.
The tour also showed off the High Street, including several handmade peacocks and efforts by pupils at Corsham Primary School who grow fresh fruit and vegetables for their school canteen.
Judge John Goulden said: “We are looking for horticultural excellence and for good community involvement which has spread across the whole of Corsham.
“It has to improve the quality of life and there should be examples of biodiversity and conservation. It should also be a clean environment.”
The town has previously achieved a silver award for its entry. Organisers are hopeful that they can do better this year.
