Police in Calne are appealing for witnesses to several thefts that have occurred in the surrounding villages over the past few weeks.
PCSO Sarah Hardwidge is dealing with five incidents in Hilmarton, Calstone and Cherhill, and would like to hear from anyone who has seen any suspicious behaviour or who has been offered goods that might have been stolen.
Two handbags were stolen from cars – one in Clavancy on June 28 at around 4pm, and the other in Calstone at around 11am on July 6.
A lawnmower was taken from a garden shed in Cherhill between July 1 and 3. There were two burglaries from workshops or sheds in the Hilmarton parish, both of which took place at around 4pm on July 2.
