Children can bring their parents along to find out how Wiltshire’s White Horses were made at a special family day being run by Wiltshire Heritage Museum in Devizes.
The day of activities this Sunday between 11am and 4pm is in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibition, White Horses and Hill Figures.
Children will be able to carve animals out of chalk, paint hill figure designs onto fabric bags, create chalk figures – which can be entered in a competition – and take part in a fun quiz.
Archaeology-themed activities include pottery reconstruction and mock digs in sand pits.
Ali Rushent, the museum’s education officer, said: “Our art and craft-themed family days are very popular and I look forward to seeing families taking part and trying something new.”
