POLICE are appealing for witnesses after cars in Marlborough were damaged during the early hours of Saturday.
Between 3am and 3.30am a number of parked cars in the area of The Common were attacked, resulting in one, a dark blue Citroen Saxo, being set alight and completely burning out.
A neighbouring car, a grey Citroen C4, also suffered fire damage and may be an insurance write-off.
PC Paul Johnson, of Devizes Police, said: "We are asking for witnesses who may have seen people acting suspiciously around this time.
"We are also keen to identify a grey car, possibly a Vauxhall Astra, which was seen leaving the area."
Anyone with any information can call PC Paul Johnson on 0845 4087000.
