Regarding your leading article of July 7, Hospital beds shut, I wonder about the job descriptions of NHS chiefs. Titles such as Wiltshire Community Health Service director might suggest that the community will be cared for. What has happened in Marlborough is that the community no longer has a minor injuries unit and there is the real possibility of a closure of the in-patients ward in Savernake Hospital. NHS Wiltshire’s use of the word community is meaningless.
