Easton Royal school’s summer fun evening was most certainly not a washout but more of a wash-up because some of the £1,000 raised will be going towards a new dishwasher for the school kitchen.
The event, held at the school, was a huge success thanks to the Friends of Easton Royal School (FERS) who organised it.
The £1,000 profit will go towards educational resources for the school as well as the dishwasher for its kitchen.
FERS is helping pay for a new all-weather play surface and play equipment as part of the school landscaping project.
The fun evening was well attended by parents and villagers alike, and FERS thanks all those who sponsored the event, especially local puppeteer, Party Puppets, who enchanted all with Punch and Judy shows.
