Six youths were arrested by police after they were seen acting suspiciously in the Waitrose car park on Saturday evening shortly after seven o’clock and were subsequently found to be in possession of drugs.

Police were called by members of the public who reported a number youths acting in a rowdy fashion in the car park behind the High Street.

Six young men were arrested and taken to the custody unit at Melksham divisional police HQ where they were searched, said Sgt ben braine, and found to be in possession of what was suspected to be a class A drug.

All six were detained on suspicion of possessing and later released on bail pending further police inquiries.

All six young men were from the Marlborough area.
