A teenage girl who was pulled from a lake at a water park has died, police said today.
The 15-year-old, from Middlesex, was playing in the lake at Cotswold Water Park on Sunday when her parents lost sight of her at about 3.45pm.
A boy playing football with a group pulled her out of the water and a lifeguard then carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation until paramedics arrived, Gloucestershire Police said.
The girl was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where she died yesterday afternoon.
Cotswold Water Park covers 140 lakes, set in 40 square miles of countryside. The girl was playing in the Cotswold Country Park and Beach area in Ashton Keynes.
Officers urged the young man who helped save her to contact them on 0845 090 1234.
The coroner has been informed.
