I was somewhat alarmed at Gary Rawlinson’s letter (July 1), having only just picked up my questionnaire from the library. I hope that we are not heading to enforced fortnightly collections just as the Government is saying it wants the councils in England to revert to weekly collections.
It seems to me reading the questionnaire, it wants the taxpayers to do all its work. It ignores the fact that the elderly and infirm can’t and that working households don’t have the time.
In view of Mr Rawlinson’s letter, I will be making a Freedom of Information request on the results of the questionnaire after August 2.
