The second Midsummer Mayhem family fun day at Wootton Bassett’s Learning Curve Day Nursery proved a big hit with parents and children on Saturday.
The event, which included bouncy castles, trampolines, stalls, vintage fire engines and tractor rides, raised more than £1,000 for Calm, the Swindon Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Movement.
Director Alan Butler said: “The weather was fine and people flocked in to enjoy the wide range of activities and stalls spread out in the gardens of the nursery.
“It was a great event and we managed to raise a lot of money for charity too.”
The afternoon ended with a fancy dress parade. Best costumes were chosen by Wootton Bassett mayor Mary Champion.
Organisers are hoping to turn the fun day into an annual event.
