Police have stepped up patrols in Chippenham following a spate of criminal damage. Eight incidents have so far been reported and officers are appealing for witnesses.
The damage has involved bricks and stones being knocked off garden walls, pillars, gate posts and fence panels being pushed over, and a gate being taken off its hinges.
The areas affected were Langley Road, Elmwood, Birch Grove and Malmesbury Road, between July 2 and 3.
Sergeant Allan George said: “This damage may seem relatively minor but it will still cost the victims in time and money to rectify this vandalism.
“We have increased patrols in the affected areas.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt George on 0845 408 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
