SWINDON Wildcats have signed much sought-after Welsh forward Steve Fisher.
Fisher finished top of his team scoring and third overall in the league with his 2009/10 club, the Cardiff ENL Devils, where he was an instrumental part of the Welsh capital side's offensive line.
He netted 31 goals and 49 assists in 29 league fixtures while accumulating 114 penalty minutes throughout the league campaign.
The 5ft 11in man was nominated the ENL Devils' star man at the midway point of the season.
His form caught the eye of former Wildcat hero Steve Moria, who called Fisher up for an impressive cameo appearance for the Premier League's Basingstoke Bison.
Cats head coach Ryan Aldridge saw off stiff competition from Basingstoke, National League Wightlink in the National League and Cardiff to capture Fisher's signature.
He said: "Steve will be a great addition to our line up.
"He has just come off of a great year at National League One level where he was putting up some great numbers.
"He will add more firepower to our line-up and is another guy who can put the puck in the net.
"Fisher is another one of those guys that comes ready to do the hard work.
"I am very happy with the way that we are looking as a squad, particularly with Steve coming in, adding to what we already have.''
