WILTSHIRE Health Authority must take urgent steps to avoid a repeat of the blunder that ended with five-year-old Rose White was given a meningitis vaccination against her mother's wishes.
Her mum Aimi, of Neston, had filled in a form clearly stating her wishes that her daughter should not have the vaccination. Whatever the rights and wrongs of her decision, it was her choice and the health authority went against it.
On this occasion it was a mother's choice but what if there had been a medical reason for not having the vaccination?
This must not be allowed to happen again.
