MEMBERS of Malmesbury and Tetbury Rotary Club are flying out today to present football strips to youngsters in South Africa.
Spokesman Ray Sanderson said the strips were a gift from Malmesbury's youth football club to the under-10 football team in the South African town of Malmesbury.
The other Malmesbury is situated 30 miles north of Cape Town.
He said the Rotary members would make contact with the town council to pass on greetings from the Wiltshire town. They will also meet with representatives of the international charity, Sightsavers, which raises funds to treat eye cataracts in Third World countries. Rotary has donated 40,000 eye-shields to the charity.
