The rain failed to spoil Geoff Butler's parade as more than 2,000 people defied the Monday night deluge to show their support for the long-serving Salisbury City boss.
His old friend and former playing colleague Harry Redknapp brought a star-studded West Ham United line-up to Old Sarum for a testimonial match in recognition of more than 17 years unbroken service by the Whites manager.
A bumper gate of 2,195 - the second highest attendance ever at the stadium - witnessed the game. Hammers ran out comfortable 3-1 winners in an often entertaining match marred only by an injury to West Ham's Steve Potts after a challenge with City's Martin Shepherd.
