A NEW league of five-a-side football is starting soon in the Swindon area on Sunday evenings.
The leagues are to be organised and run by Leisure Leagues, an organisation specialising in running sporting leagues across the UK and will run in association with the Pinehurst Sports Centre.
The league will cater for local teams who will play an intense half-hour game each week, in a pay-as-you-play format.
All standards of teams are welcome, even those who have not considered playing before. There is a qualified referee on each game, all equipment is supplied and there is no need for matching kits.
Seasons will run for around 15 to 20 weeks with trophies being presented to the Division winners and runners-up.
The top teams also have the opportunity to enter the Leisure Leagues national tournament playing against the best in the network.
Leisure Leagues Regional Manager John Murray said: "Our leagues are open to all comers whatever their standard.
"Teams may be work mates, friends from the pub or more organised groups of people who already play. We take care of the organisation so the teams get the maximum enjoyment with the minimum of fuss."
Any teams interested or would like an information pack can contact Leisure Leagues on 07071 203070 or 07767 224872. You can also e-mail for information at info@leisureleaguesgroup.com.
