A BOY of 15 told police he was beaten up after he threw water over a double glazing salesman.
PC Mike Owen, of Devizes police, said the attack happened when two salesmen, who had been calling on houses in Jump Farm, visited a house in Brickham Road between 4pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday.
The boy, who received a black eye, required hospital treatment. He is being examined to see if he has any other injuries.
PC Owen said: "We are anxious to find out which company these men worked for. If anyone has their business card or remembers who they were representing, we would very much like to know." The alleged attacker is described as in his early 20s, of mixed race with short black hair shaven at the back and sides.
He was smartly dressed and wore a grey mountaineering top with a half-zip and a wide pocket at the front.
PC Owen can be contacted at Devizes police station on (01380) 722141.
