Some excellent fish have come to landing nets over the last few days including carp, chub, roach and a superb 3lb-plus perch.
And, at Witherington Farm Fishery a new match record was set on Saturday, October 7, with a massive 124lb 3oz haul of carp.
At fisheries throughout the Salisbury area anglers have been enjoying good sport.
Heading the carp catches were six carp over 20lb from Salisbury Angling Club's Steeple Langford lakes - the heaviest a massive 26lb beauty.
A 20lb carp was taken from Witherington Farm's Barnmoor Lake by Brian Elton who used luncheon meat. The same lake gave Salisbury angler, Brian Wade, a lovely 3lb perch on Friday.
Across at Waldens Farm Fishery, red maggot on a 14 hook helped one angler catch a ghost carp of 12lb and four commons between 7lb and 4lb from peg 61 on Bishops Lake while peg 62 yielded a 13lb 8oz ghost for Keith Bidwell which fell for a sprat!
Abbots Lake at Waldens Farm provided Richard Simmonds with a 4lb 8oz chub from peg 49 using a float-fished worm while the same lake also gave up roach to 2lb and perch to 3lb with maggot and caster the successful baits.
