TEN members of the Devizes' Apollo Majorettes could be marching for England if they are successful in a national competition at the end of the month.
Five pre-teens and five junior members of the group will attend the national pom-pom championships, organised by the National Baton Twirling Association.
They are hoping their performance could lead to a place in the national team.
Coun Jim Thorpe, who helped set up the troupe, said: "I am so proud of them. They have done so well."
Emily Dodd, 15, will perform a solo baton-twirling routine at the championships in Torbay.
Other members of the squad also hoping for success are Emma Smith, 13, Jessica Tyler, six, Megan Sweeney, eight, Hannah Williams, eight, Jessica Watts, seven, Samantha Coombes, ten, Wendy Ford,12, and Emma Minty, ten. Helper Elizabeth Lott, 18, will also be performing. Troupe leader Maureen Bishop said: "It is wonderful to think that one of my girls could be twirling for England."
