Jim Quinn has enjoyed his first chance to work some magic on a Wembley-bound Swindon football team.

The former Swindon Town boss joined James Mitchell's team of Irish Nomads for their first chilly training session last night at Dorcan School.

James, 36, of Stratton St Margaret, won a competition on national radio last week to take a team to Wembley.

The Swindon Irish Nomads will be playing in the last game at Wembley stadium on Friday, before the national stadium is pulled down and redeveloped.

However, the team is essentially made up of the Swindon Irish Golf Society, and Jim Quinn has been drafted in to boost the team's chances of Wembley Glory.

"They don't look like footballers," he joked, as training got underway.

Jim, who knows all about playing and scoring at Wembley stressed the importance of a proper warm up and talked about possible tactics.

James was delighted that Jim had agreed to help his side.
