EVERYTHING looks rosy in the garden of a Swindon horticultural therapy project.
TWIGS, based in Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, is celebrating the completion of a new wildlife pond and wetland area.
The new pond has been built with a viewing platform, solar-powered fountain and new wetland area.
Alongside the pond, the new wetland area is being created to complement the existing wildflower area and enhance the value of the site to wildlife.
The project was made possible by a £2,810 award from the 2000 Transco Grassroots environmental award scheme.
Alan Holland, TWIGS project manager, said: "The award has helped us expand our site.
"We have open days once a month and hope that local people will continue to come to see the wildlife on their doorstep and get involved themselves."
The judging panel who awarded the grant included former Goodie and wildlife fan Bill Oddie.
Andy Taylor, of Transco, said: "Transco takes its commitment to the environment very seriously and our Grassroots scheme enables us to help local communities and organisations like Twigs put their own conservation and environmental plans into action."
