TEACHING methods of the millennium were on the timetable for North Swindon MP Michael Wills when he returned to the classroom.
Mr Wills joined a class of 12 Year 6 and Year 1 pupils at Abbey Meads Community School yesterday morning for a lesson in computer navigation.
The aim was to demonstrate the benefits of modern technology in the learning environment.
More used to sitting in the House of Commons, Mr Wills was happy to join the youngsters for the special class in his role as Minister for Learning and Technology.
He was shown how to use a data base programme which the children were using to compile menus.
He said: "It was fantastic, the children were wrapped up in what they were doing.
"It is completely different to my own school days and I must say I felt quite envious of the wonderful opportunities children have now with computers."
