YOUTH FOOTBALL: BRADFORD on Avon B got their season off to a flyer when they entertained FC Chippenham B. They won an entertaining game 10-3 in the under 10s division of the Wiltshire Times and News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League.

Melksham Park B and C sides also started their campaigns with home matches against Warminster Highbury A and Bradford on Avon C respectively.

A goal by Jake Sainsbury was not enough for the B side, as their opponents scored six, while the C team went down 2-0 in their game.

Chippenham Town were comfortable 3-0 winners at Calne Town.

Stuart Greener, with a hat-trick, led Devizes to a 4-0 win against Trowbridge Town, Matthew Tilley completed the scoring.

Under 11s

MELKSHAM Park A were 4-0 up at half-time in their home game against Warminster Highbury but the second half was more evenly balanced, with Melksham gaining a 7-2 victory.

Goals came from Jack Adcock, Sam Pines (2) Kane Youdar (2), Daniel Lovett and Andrew Donald, with Lee Sparcy getting both for the visitors.

Trowbridge Wanderers continued their rich vein of form with an 11-0 victory over Shaw and Whitley B.

Matthew Jones and Jonathan Davies led the way with three goals each. Ashley Merchant (2), Nathan Ball and two own goals completed the scoring.

Chippenham Town Youth and Frome Collegians shared the points and six goals in their game at Chippenham.

Liam Brown scored all three of the home goals, with replies coming from Ryan Childs (2) and James Hounsell.

FC Chippenham had a field day against Melksham Park B, with 10 players getting themselves on the score sheet in a 27-0 win.

Will Fisher led the way with seven goals, followed by Elliott Simpson, with six, Edward Tunnicliffe (3), Josh Shaw (2), Ashley Maslen (2), James Flotstad (2) and singles from Craig Fisher, Emery Garrett, Mark Blake, James Leigh and an own goal.

Crescent Park continued their recent fine form with a 9-1 win against Trowbridge FC.

Ben Darby (3) led the scoring spree, followed by Glenn Collins (2) and singles from Jack Woollen, Nick Bendley, David Bright and James Tichoner.

Trowbridge had a hard-fought contest at Corsham which they finally won 4-2. Jack and Matthew Francis scored for the visitors, with Scott Cunningham-Phillips completing the total. Eddie Mallard and Sean Cartwright replied for the hosts.

Under 12s

WESTBURY Youth surrendered their 100 per cent record when Devizes won an entertaining encounter at Redland Lane by 3-2.

Home goals from Lee Mcaden and Mattey Sharpe were not enough as the visitors held on for three points.

Stratton Juniors and Corsham Boys fought out an evenly contested game which finally went the way of the home side by 3-2, as Craig Whitbread (2) and Daniel Wallington found the net.

FC Chippenham's scorers in their 5-3 home win against Bradford on Avon were Thomas Highmore (2), Adam Johnson (2) and George Crotti.

Trowbridge FC fought hard in their game with Pewsey Vale, but Karl Butcher's second-half strike was not enough as the visitors scored through Warren McDonald (2) and Robert Guthrie.

Four players shared the Trowbridge Wanderers' total against Corsham United, with both Daniel Hurkett and Nicholas Addley scoring five times. Nick Holton and Kieran Baggs grabbed a brace each with Luke Marshall and Sam Collier getting goals for Corsham.

Daniel Barnett gave Melksham Park the half-time lead at Calne, but this was wiped out when James Elliott equalised. Daniel Waylen and Matthew Humphreys scored second-half goals to give the visitors the points.

Warminster Highbury had a comprehensive 15-2 win away to White Horse Juniors.

Under 13s

DURRINGTON Rangers hosted Brunel Boys and found themselves 2-0 down with half-time approaching.

Nicholas Eastham gave them hope before Craig Smith grabbed the equaliser.

An unfortunate own goal gave the home side all three points.

Trowbridge Wanderers and Westinghouse Youth A shared the points and the goals in a six-goal thriller, Luke Holbrow, James Adams and Mark Dolman scoring for Westinghouse, with Daniel Creese (2) and Ashley Benison scoring for Wanderers.

Roger Hill's goal for Marlborough Town did not prove enough to overcome visitors Chippenham Town Rangers, who replied with three goals.

Sam Hodsall, Matthew Ralph and a brace from Fraser Shaw-Morris were enough to give Corsham a 4-1 win over visitors Chippenham.

James Humphrey got on the scoring charts for Westinghouse B, but it was not enough to stop Calne Colts, who replied through Marcus Neale (3), Darren Holcombe (2), Graham Dean, Robert Kelty and Ashley Moore.
