TOWN boss Colin Todd has called upon his players to show more of a killer instinct after watching them surrender in soggy Lancashire.
Their fall from grace at Oldham's Boundary park was a typical "after the Lord Mayor's show" effort as memories of Oxford, Wigan and Luton were washed away in the continuous drizzle.
Poor quality, little creation and no points was hardly the return Todd wanted from his trip north.
But the Red Army never got going and the braveheart fans who journeyed up the M6 had a wasted trip.
Todd demanded a big improvement for tomorrow's trip to Swansea.
"These are the kind of games I would like to think we can get a win from," he said. "But things just did not happen for us. Who knows, maybe we can go and beat Swansea, Bristol Rovers and Millwall now.
"It is important that another game comes around very quickly and that we can get back to the type of football that we were playing a week ago."
The first thing he wants to see is his players build-up a bit of a nasty streak.
"We need more of a killer instinct," he said. "When we were on the ball we were unable to hurt Oldham by creating chances.
"Too many players were missing in a game which was not that tough. We just did not set the right tempo."
