REVIEW: Mick Rutherford is a well seasoned musician, who fell in love with music while doing his homework and listening to The Beatles.
Over the years Mick has lost none of the fire in his belly that leapt to life with the first notes of Love Me Do.
He has played with such greats as the John Mayall Blues Band taking over from Long John Baldry, Alexis Corner and many other top 60s bands.
His unmistakable voice always secured Mick a place in the first music circles.
Today he has his own band, the Mick Rutherford Band who played at King's Arms, Old Town, and has honed his talent to a shiny, polished act that is as much an entertainment as a showcase of musical prowess.
Bounding through the numbers like an excited labrador Mick plays everything from Cream, to Hendrix to Muddy Waters but his real passion is the blues.
He handles a guitar like a trooper but it is his voice that has the crowd riveted.
