WOMEN interested in coaching football can take advantage of a free course being run this weekend.
To gain the Football Association's Junior Team Manager Award normally costs around £60, but Swindon Council's Lifestyle Development team is offering the course free to any woman aged 16 or above.
It runs this Saturday between 9am and 4pm at Dorcan Recreation Complex, and continues on Monday between 6pm and 9pm.
During the course, women will be taught about first aid which is relevant to football, practical coaching skills and theories on how children learn.
This is the first time such a course has been run in Swindon for women only and is part of the Lifestyle team's commitment to women's and girls' football in the town.
For more information or to register, phone Danny Robinson on Swindon 466550.
