THERE has been so much talk around the town in the past few months about the hopes and aspirations of every supporter, of every director and the chairman and of every player.
Every manager wants his side to be in the top six, but I can tell you it's not easy to get out of any division these days.
I believe the key element is togetherness and when you take a look at some of our opponents this looks true.
Walsall, a very good side, were promoted together, relegated and are now still together. Millwall have been together for a while and are a very good side as are Wigan. Reading have the experience and some money to spend.
Money isn't the key to everything - just ask former Reading manager Tommy Burns. He spent a fortune but achieved nothing.
You also need the right formation to play and the right players to play in that formation. Left footers, right footers all working together to create the right balance.
We are still learning to walk a game before we can run one and as manager I know it will take time to get the engine purring. Like a car there's always going to be some fine tuning and every now and again we misfire.
Realistically we have some good youngsters at this club but it will take a little time to get the consistency that I know we have to achieve in order to take the club further.
Please stick with us on this great journey - I know it will come good in the end.
