Schools in Swindon have popped in to Tescos to pick up their share of £8 million worth of computer equipment.
South Swindon MP Julia Drown presented the donation to eight infant and junior schools at the Ocotal Way store, as part of the nationwide Tesco Computers for Schools initiative.
On the receiving end were:
Beechcroft Infant School
Covingham Park Infant School
Goddard Park Primary School
Gorse Hill Junior School
Grange Infant School
Holy Family RC Junior School
Penhill Primary School
Seven Fields Infants and Junior School
Under the scheme this year a record breaking stack of the very latest computer gear is being delivered to youngsters including 3,500 computers and more than 65,000 pieces of computer equipment.
