On Thursday, October 12, my two sons and several friends were skate-boarding by the Wyvern Theatre when they were cautioned by the police.
There is nowhere in Swindon so they have to resort to public places to skate or go to Newbury, Bath or Bristol and this is only possible at weekends.
There are two small skateparks at Lechlade and Grove but it is difficult to get to these without a car.
If small towns like these can build a skate park for their youths, why can't a large town like Swindon do the same and then the skaters would not get into problems with the police?
There was a proposed park to be built at Greenbridge but nothing seems to have been done.
I am sure there are a lot of parents who feel the same as me.
