It is no use Mrs Ratcliffe (Advertiser, October 13) being alarmed regarding homosexuals within the church, although I do agree with her comments that they are there and they will be allowed to stay.
It does seem apparent that the hierarchy of the Church of England do accept that homosexuality is in fact the will of God and always has been.
Of course, they also agree that it is acceptable for a male minister to change his gender, and vice versa, so it is not unusual that they accept it is normal for homosexuals to marry each other.
I do not know what the Bible states I am a long-standing non-believer, this being one of the reasons but my own common sense tells me that if their God is so omnipotent, surely he would ensure everyone is born with the correct genes for the sex that he/she is supposed to be in the first place.
The church is, and always has been a haven for homosexuals/transsexuals and the like, and always will be as long as it is tolerated.
It almost seems that one of the main criteria and qualifications one must possess to stand for the church ministry is that one must be gay. Of course, the Church do have a major problem, if they eradicate all of their gay ministers, most of their churches would cease to exist, and we would be burdened with them on the unemployment register.
It is a well known fact that church congregations are declining rapidly, and is it any wonder when all they seem to do is beg money to replace this or that in the church when they are probably one of the richest organisations in the world, or they are preaching the correctness and acceptability of homosexuality and transsexuality within the church.

Unfortunately the situation is here to stay, so, Mrs Ratcliffe and all other believers, I feel it is a forgone conclusion that before very long, all denominations of religion will be overwhelmed and administered by homosexuals and transexuals, the flood gates are now open and the precedent has been set, as has recently been proved by one male minister changing to a female minister, the mind boggles!!
