Dorchester Town 4 Salisbury City 3: Joy turned to heartbreak in the space of just two minutes for the many travelling Salisbury City supporters who watched in disbelief as their side threw away what looked a comfortable lead in a thrilling FA Cup tie at Dorchester Town.
Ahead 3-1 on the hour, City were first pegged back to 3-2 before their defence capitulated, leaking two more goals to give the Magpies what had looked an unlikely win.
"I thought it was a game we could and should have won," said furious Whites manager Geoff Butler. Exiting at the 3rd Qualifying Round stage denies City the chance of a bumper payout from the famous competition, but it is the manner of the defeat which has prompted the long-serving boss to threaten changes.
"We don't mark properly and we make it so easy for opponents to run in unmarked and score. It's absolutely scandalous," said Butler.
