A FUNDRAISING Hallowe'en party in Devizes will be a family affair.

Two sets of fathers and sons will be among the bands performing at the town hall on October 27 to raise money for Options information cafe in Station Road, Devizes.

Nurse Mike Doherty and his 14-year-old son Chris, along with Mike's friend Mark Thomas and his son, Steve, also 14 and from Chirton, make up The Elm Street Drivers. Mike's other son Dave, 18, and his friends, James Hill and Russell Watts, also 18, play as Dave Doherty's Ghoul Exposure.

The other band playing is M & M's Smashing Bumpkins, featuring Matt Erwood and Marcus Oder from Potterne. Dave Doherty, who plays guitar, is known for recent concerts in the Corn Exchange. He and his fellow band members have all completed a popular music course at Chippenham College.

Mike said they are delighted to be raising money for Options. He said: "I think it's a brilliant project. A lot of different kids use it."

His girlfriend Yvonne Lord will be offering face painting for £1 and people are encouraged to go along wearing a ghoulish outfit and a prize will be presented to the best one. No alcohol will be sold at the event.

Tickets are £3.50 which includes a buffet and are available from Options cafe and PRSounds, Devizes.
