A man killed when his silver Porsche collided with a Ford Mondeo on the A361 on Tuesday has been named as Paul Ridout.
The 29-year-old from Little Cheverell, near Devizes, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His two passengers, a 20-year-old woman from Bradford-on-Avon and a 21-year-old man from Easterton, were taken to Swindon's Princess Margaret Hospital with minor injuries. They have now been discharged.
The accident happened at 11.25pm at the A361's junction with Calne Road leading over Blacklands.
The Ford Mondeo failed to stop and a couple were arrested in connection with the accident. They have since been released on police bail. Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw the Ford Mondeo that evening especially in Bishop Cannings, on the A361 or in Compton Bassett.
They also want to talk to any drivers or passengers of vehicles which passed the accident scene. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Sgt Paul Williams of Salisbury Police on 01722 435208.
