With autumn fishing beginning to pick up pace now on both rivers and lakes, some good bags of roach have come from Waldens Farm Fishery and from the Avon near Fordingbridge, which on Friday produced two roach at 2lb 6oz and a third at 2lb 2oz.
The Avon is fairly high and coloured after a lot of recent rain and floating weed is causing problems for feeder anglers. But float anglers are finding a way round the weed problem and have been rewarded with roach and chub.
Trotted flake produced the trio of big roach together with chub to around 3lb from Fordingbridge Park while downstream at Ibsley barbel to 10lb have been taken.
Some roach and dace have started to appear in King's Stream with some good pike from Lifelands.
