THROUGH your letters page, may we address those of your readers who are interested in live music.
During the last five years Ceres Promotions has provided superb live music in Devizes Corn Exchange, with a series of gigs that have included The Hoax, Dr Feelgood, Ozric Tentacles, K Passa, Nine Below Zero and Hugh Cornwall, among others.
People who supported these gigs have enjoyed a great night out with friends. Someone commented it was always like a brilliant party.
We came together as a bunch of friends who wanted to share what we enjoyed.
Recently there has been a decline in support for these events and we can't afford to continue our last concert, featuring Alamo Leal supported by Rick Payne, only attracted 91 people. So we're giving it a rest for a while.
However, thanks to everyone who has ever been to a gig; worked at the Corn Exchange whether behind the bar, on the door or providing security you've all been fantastic and we hope that one day we can do it all agin.
If you'd like to see this happen, write to Ian and Liz at the address below telling us the kind of music you would support.
