TWO bands, Witchi Tai To and Thin Ice, will be presenting a programme of original compositions in a concert of contemporary jazz at the Wiltshire Music Centre on October 29.
Witchi Tai To is a duo comprising Keith Harrison Broninski on piano, and Nick Sorensen on saxophone.
Their original music blends jazz with folk and classical influences. They are joined for this performance by Andy Keep on bass and Simon Gore on drums.
Thin Ice is a quintet featuring Dave King (piano), Valere Speranza (bass), Max Lang (drums), Kevin Poplett (tenor sax) and John Plaxton (trumpet).
The band's set will feature Dave King's own compositions, and audiences can expect strong elements of funk, rubbing shoulders with high-energy Latin rhythms, cool reggae sounds, blues, swing and haunting ballads.
The concert begins at 7.30pm. Box office: (01225) 860100.
