THE wacky world of American high school cheerleaders is in the spotlight in the spirited comedy Bring It On (12)
We follow the fortunes of Torrance Shipman (Kirsten Dunst), captain of the San Diego Toros cheerleaders at Rancho Carne High School, and her team of teenage boys and girls as they prepare for the national championships.
This film would have worked better if the satire had more bite and slightly less attention was paid to the admittedly well-choreographed cheer routines.
But Bring It On has bags of energy and an infectious cheerfulness that make it hard to dislike.
